Who makes The Lanai Almanac?

The publisher, the sources and the fine print.

Who publishes The Lanai Almanac?

The Lanai Almanac at WoodCeilingVenice.com is published by Trim My Crib. Trim My Crib is a design-build interior detail company in Venice, FL, known for custom media walls, accent walls and wood ceilings. We are a business, not an independent reviewer, and we build the kind of real wood ceilings this almanac describes.

How is the data gathered?

Every figure comes from a public source that we fetched and read: federal climate normals, the USDA Wood Handbook and Forest Service finishing research, a fastener maker’s corrosion guidance, National Weather Service and EPA UV guidance, and a lighting retailer’s summary of UL location ratings. Where we combined numbers (the moisture estimates in the climate file, or seasonal rain totals) the page says so. Nothing here is engineering, electrical or code advice.

Where does Trim My Crib work?

We are based in Venice, FL, and this almanac reads its weather for lanais in Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, Wellen Park and south Sarasota. Our crews reach only parts of some of those towns, so ask whether your home is in our area. Visit TrimMyCrib.com or request a free estimate.
